New Socks and a Cross Stitch Project

I finished my May socks a little ahead of time and the next pair is already on the needles.

And I started a cross stitch project with a Scandinavian Christmas theme.

Nothing much blogworthy going on around here at the moment, just everyday life, putting one foot in front of the other and trying not to get tripped up by the not so good things that are happening. It is still way too cold for my taste and I am beginning to wonder when it will start getting warmer. I hope to get the rest of the garden planted this weekend.

New place mats and spring trees

I made some new place mats.

The trees around the garden are so fresh and green right now, delightful! And the little dogwood tree across the way is in bloom. Finally Spring!

Around the garden

Spring has sprung! After a whole week of rain, today is finally sunny and everything is soooo green, I can't get enough of it, even the weeds are pretty. The garden is ready for planting and today the first round of seeds is going in.

My Weekend

Finished socks for April.

New yarn.

A new book.

The first harvest.

The weather was very nice, the garden is ready for planting and my allergies are being mean to me but there was cake, cake makes everything better.

Stitching

Palko's design for April was so pretty, I had to stitch it up as soon as it arrived and I already found a matching fabric for the border.

Around the Garden

Spring has finally sprung. The perennial herbs are coming back (except for the rosemary which looks rather bedraggled again), the roses are putting out leaves and what is left of my lilac looks promising. We planted a brand new strawberry patch, the little flowers behind the A/C unit are blooming and I really like the white violets that are popping up everywhere.
